On the eve before another busy work week, I thought the timing was appropriate to share some Top Tips for Ultimate Time Efficiency. So here they are in no particular order....
1. Use a Calendar- I know you may be rolling your eyes right now, like c'mon, that is an elementary concept. But stick with me here. I know so many people (myself included), that are guilty of beginning to use a calendar and then getting out of the habit very quickly. But I'd like to challenge you to not only use the calendar for appointments, but actually schedule all of your days activities - down to the nitty gritty like laundry, workouts, meal prep, grocery store, dog walking, etc... Get EVERY. LAST. DETAIL. penciled in.
Now you are ready to fine tune that schedule even more, which leads us to...
2. Multi-tasking or overlapping items- Now I am going to challenge you to study your day's schedule. What events on there can be combined or overlapped? For example could you combine making dinner while getting the kids' lunches ready for the next day, or folding laundry while making that phone call, working out while listening to that podcast or lecture, etc. And don't forget to look at all your errands that need to be run and make sure you plan out the most efficient route and get it all done in one condensed trip instead of multiple outings. The littlest of details make the biggest difference!

3. And last, but very important, do not PROCRASTINATE!!! Just get up, and get going. Tackle that dreaded item. It is empowering to accomplish the To Do List. Once you get the ball rolling, the day gains momentum, tasks get crossed off, you become productive, and by the end of the day/week/month, you have become a "Time Efficiency Pro"! And before you know it you will be amazed at how much more you are able to get done and how much smoother appointments transition from one to another. A little strategic planning yields great RESULTS!
